The people at TALETON Guest House love the environment and care for it in every way they can.
Special ecological and environmentally friendly building materials have been used for the construction of our hotel. No melamine or formaldehyde materials, which harm the environment, have been used. On the contrary, we have used paint made from vegetable dye and natural materials such as stone, wood and metal. Even the insulating material used in the building is natural cork.
Thanks to its good insulation and ventilated roof, the Guest House is almost self-sustaining in energy. Geothermal heat exchange principles are used to heat the Guest House, thereby avoiding oil, which emits carbon dioxide and pollutes the environment. The same principles are applied in the cooling system in summer, so there are none of the problems and disadvantages of air conditioning.
The garden and outdoor areas used by guests are supplied with rainwater, which is stored in underground cisterns.
Local and certified organic produce is used in the preparation of food.
The exclusive use of locally produced organic food in preparing breakfast for our guests shows how much we care. Local producers supply TALETON with certified organic produce on a daily basis. This ensures wholesome, delicious food, untouched by pesticides or additives, which retains its purity, promotes good health and provides all the energy the body needs every day.
The special cleaning and care products we use are made by AURO (www.auro.gr).
